 Writing Task: Making Decisions in our Community

In every community there are community leaders who make decisions on behalf of the community. Mr Burt is a community leader and he is a leader in his church. You might know of people in your family who are community leaders. Do they run sports teams? Are they church leaders? Josephine Bartley is a leader who makes decisions on behalf of our community.

Today you will be writing about who makes the decisions on behalf of our community. You can do your own research, or you can watch the video about Josephine Bartley to find out more about the role that she plays in our community.

Task: Write a description to explain who makes the decisions in our community for people in our community.

Begin your writing here: I will talk about Mr Burt and him being our Support leader too. Mr Burt plays the role as a principal and a very kind one too. He was given a badge of honor by the Queen. His role is an important role because he helps kids learn and makes a place for students like me to learn new things.  By doing this he helps out communities like ours. He is a really supportive guy and I'm sure you could get along with him. Mr Burt also is a loving father. He also made an after school activity called riverside.  So if you meet him I'm sure it would be a blast. Also did i tell you he has a friendly cast. The office, teachers and much much more. He could be a friendly guy to call. I'm a student not a poet, not that you know it so read this writing and i’ll show you how to meet the man who does it. And by do it I mean run the school By talking to him at Pt England.
