 How to make samosas


Today  you are going to share instructions on how to create samosas. Watch the video on how to make samosas . You will need to use the video to help you know all of the ingredients and equipment needed to make samosas. You will also need to use the video to help you know the step by step instructions to make samosas. Make sure that your instructions are in the right order and provide enough detail for someone else to follow and create their own samosas. 


Equipment:

  • Bowl
    Measuring cups
    Teaspoon 

  • Apparently hands 



Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour (250 g)

  •  ¼ cup of oil or melted ghee.

  • Water 



Instructions:

  1. Add 2 cups of flour (250 g) to the bowl

  2. Add ½ tsp of salt into the same bowl 

  3. Begin mixing the bowl 

  4. Add ¼ cup of oil or melted ghee. (60ml) 

  5. Mix until incorporated 

  6. Rub the flour with the oil with your hands until it looks like crumbs

  7. Add ¼ cup of water slowly into the bowl 

  8. Mix with hands 

  9. Knead to firm dough 

  10. Cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes 

  11. Peel, boil and chop 3 potatoes roughly

  12. 2 tsp of oil in pan 

  13. Add 1 ts of cumin seeds to the pan

  14. Also add crushed coriander seed to the pan

  15. Add ½  tsp of garam marsala to the pan 

  16. Add 1 tsp of chili powder

  17. Add 1 tsp of turmeric 

  18. Cook and mix for 30 to 60 seconds 

  19. Finely chop 1 green chili 

  20. Add 2-3 crushed cloves of garlic into the pan   

  21. Add 1 tsp of crushed ginger into the pan 

  22. Add your chopped green chili in 

  23. Cook and mix for 1 minutes 

  24. Add 1 chopped onion 

  25. Saute for 3 to 4 minutes

  26. Add the chopped potatoes to the pan 

  27. Add one cup of peas into the pan 

  28. Add one tsp of lemon juice 

  29. Add ¼ of water into the pan 

  30. Add 1 tsp of salt to the pan 

  31. Cook for 4-5 minutes and stir frequently 

  32. Add ¼ crushed cashews into the pan

  33. Add 2 tsp of chopped coriander leaves into the pan 

  34. Mix for a while 

  35. Allow it to cool down by taking it off the stove 

  36. Divided the dough into 6 7 equal slices 

  37. Shape the dough into balls 

  38. While rolling the ball cover the leftover dough 

  39. Roll out the ball into an oval 6 inches long (15cm) and 4 inches wide (10cm)

  40. Cut in half and brush with water 

  41. Form a cone with it 

  42. Fill the samosa (Cone dough) with the potato filling

  43. Brush the edges with water and pinch them until it is sealed

  44. Repeat with all off the leftover dough 

  45. Drop 4-5 samosa at a time into a hot boiling oil pot

  46. Fry for 4-5 minutes until golden brown

  47. Dry on paper towel then bon appetit begin to eat.
