4 Facts

 DIWALI SWEETS & SNACKS

Watch the video (You can skip parts of it). What types of sweets or snacks are usually eaten during Diwali celebrations? How is it different to the sweets and snacks that you are used to eating?


FACT ONE:

Murukku is a snack that translates into twisted because the snack is well twisted and then it is fried. 


FACT TWO:

Barfi is made from condensed milk, cream and sugar. It is called barfi because it is in a snow kind of shape


FACT THREE:

Jalebi is a sweet oily lollie treat. I have tried it once and it was quite the treat nearly gave me a head ache 


FACT FOUR:

Gulab Jamun is made from milk powder, sugar and flour then it is deep fried into a round shaped ball.
